I am an Ashtanga Yoga Teacher, Producer and ScriptwriterMel_06_2015

With a professional background in the film industry, I have been working as a freelance producer worldwide.

Years ago in my globetrotter life, I discovered Ashtanga Yoga and fell immediatley in love, simply finding out that the daily Yoga practice would provide plenty of energy and peace to me.

Being passionate about it, I started rolling my mat out in the morning no matter where – in tiny hotel rooms, roof top terraces in mega-cities, bathrooms, friends’ houses … and the daily practice became “my partner in crime”. Not only was I fascinated by the physical practice, although grew my curiosity for the Yoga philosophy and I started studying the Yoga sutras. I believe that Yoga is more than just a physical practice, but a path practiced on and off the mat.

I have been practicing Ashtanga Yoga for more than ten years and besides of studying with my teachers Manju Jois, Matthew Vollmer, Kathy Cooper, Andrea Lutz, I completed a teacher training of Ashtanga Yoga Primary and Intermediate series with Manju Jois.

After years of practicing Ashtanga Yoga and studying with great teachers, I would like to share the benefits of  this wonderful practice with all who care to give it a try. Ashtanga Yoga Revolution on the South Coast of Sri Lanka is my most recent project where I teach daily morning Ashtanga Yoga classes and enjoy nature and the simple life part-time the year.

Besides the daily morning classes I teach at the Ashtanaga Revolution Yoga Shala in Goyambokka – Tangalle, I am available for private Ashtanga Yoga classes. Private yoga classes can be held for one student or a group of people at your hotel in the greater Tangalle. info@ashtangayogagreenhill.com

I thank all my teachers for sharing this wonderful practice and their wisdom and experience with me and I am grateful for the encounters with all the lovely people who crossed my path.
